Our review - We had a great experience at The Running Room! The store was clean, organized, and welcoming. Paul was fantastic to deal with. He was friendly, polite, and really knew his stuff. He took the time to ask the right questions and help us find the right shoes that fit our needs.
We could have easily ordered online, but we really appreciate being able to talk to someone in person who knows what they're doing and genuinely wants to help. That kind of personal service makes all the difference, and you just can't put a price on it!

Thanks, Paul, for making it such a positive experience. We'll definitely recommend The Running Room to others!

Would you rather: move before the holidays, or wait until spring? 🏡

Both are real strategies, and they trade off in opposite directions.

Move now: less competition for the homes that are out there, sellers who are motivated rather than testing the market, and more room to negotiate. The tradeoff is a shorter runway and a move squeezed into a busy season.

Wait for spring: more listings, more choice, and better weather for everything from photos to moving day. The tradeoff is more buyers competing for the same homes, and prices that tend to firm up when they do.

There's no universally right answer here. It mostly comes down to whether your priority is selection or leverage.

Our review – We had a really nice experience! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the service was great from start to finish. The staff were happy to help us with the menu, and we never had to wait to order our drinks or food.

Everything ran smoothly, including the bills with no mix-ups. You can also conveniently pay by tap and complete a survey if you'd like. It's always nice when a restaurant gets the little things right!

The portions were generous, and everything was tasty! We tried the Fajita Steak Bowl, Southwest Fried Chicken, C***r House Salad, and Fish & Chips, so there was something for everyone. With so many great options on the menu, we're already looking forward to coming back to try their pizza on our next visit!

If you're a b**r lover, you'll appreciate their great selection of craft b**rs!

They recommend making reservations, as the restaurant can get busy due to its location near the Farmers' Market.

The patio is very large and pet-friendly, which is a great bonus when the weather cooperates. Just keep in mind that pets aren't permitted inside the building.

Their menu also has vegetarian and gluten-friendly dishes. If you have any dietary questions or allergies they were willing to help!

Halloween is one night when more people than usual walk right up to your front door. 🎃

So it's worth looking at your house the way they will.

Is the walkway lit, or does everyone find the step the hard way? Does the front door look cared for, or has it been three winters since it was painted? Are the house numbers readable from the street? Is there anything on the porch that's been "temporary" since last spring?

None of this is about decorating. It's the same first-impression list a buyer notices in the ten seconds between the car and the front door...and Halloween gives you a rare chance to watch how people actually approach the house.

If you're thinking about listing in the spring, walk out to the sidewalk on the 31st and look back at your house. You'll see it.

Our review - We went to this "wicked awesome bar" in London called Holy Diver, and it definitely brought me back to the ’80s when I was a little rocker!

I really liked the atmosphere. It’s darkly lit, with old posters and ’80s stuff all over the walls, local craft b**r, and that great old-school rock bar feel.

Our server was really nice, friendly, and welcoming. I had the Fleetwood Mac burger and fries along with a local IPA, and it was a great combination.

Holy Diver also has live music, with bands and DJs playing regularly. They have a good sound system and an intimate space for live performances, which fits the whole vibe of the place.

If you’re into rock, ’80s music, craft b**r, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere, this is definitely a place worth checking out. I’ll be back!

Our review – I had a great experience at Runners Choice. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming from the moment I walked in.

I was looking for a good walking shoe and use an orthotic, so finding the right fit was important. The staff knew exactly which shoes to bring out for me to try and gave me several options without ever being pushy. They even mentioned that they could order in a shoe if they didn't have the right colour.

They took the time to explain the differences and mechanics of each shoe, which made my decision much easier. While walking around the store trying them out, I also noticed how well organized the store was and the great selection of running clothes and gear they carry.

I felt they had a great selection and, more importantly, the knowledge to help me find the right shoe. I would highly recommend starting your search for a great pair of shoes at Runners Choice. Runners' Choice Waterloo

Add it up, and holidays-in-a-new-home usually means starting by early October.

No need to rush anything. It just helps to do things in order: talk financing first, build the wish list, then start touring properties.

Our review - While visiting Manitoulin Island, we stopped at Purvis Fish & Chips in Gore Bay, and we're so glad we did! The restaurant was bustling with people both inside and out on the patio, which is always a good sign.

After placing our order, we were given a numbered fish token to place on our table so they knew where to bring our meal. Our fish and chips arrived hot, and the portion was very generous. The fish had a delicious, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all.

What makes Purvis even more unique is the lighthouse lookout in the centre of the restaurant. After our meal, we headed upstairs to the panoramic lookout, where we had a beautiful view over the marina and could watch the boats in the bay.

The restaurant is full of character, with historic fishing décor and photographs from the Purvis family fishery dating back generations. It's also pretty impressive to learn that the restaurant opened in 2021, during COVID, when the owner was just 18 years old!

If you're visiting Manitoulin Island, I highly recommend stopping at Purvis Fish & Chips. Great food, a unique atmosphere, and an incredible view all in one place! Manitouline Island

Our review - We really enjoyed our evening with Grand River Dinner Cruises out of Caledonia. It was a relaxing way to enjoy the Grand River and have a nice dinner at the same time.
We had a fresh garden salad, roast beef dinner, and a delicious dessert. The food was very good, and between courses we enjoyed the scenery as we cruised along the river.

The Captain also did a great job pointing out historical events and interesting sights along the way, which added to the experience. The cruise travels along a beautiful 20 km stretch of the Grand River between Caledonia and Brantford, and the boats are set up so everyone has a great view from their table.

Our servers were excellent—polite, attentive, and always checking in to make sure everything was okay.

After dinner, coffee and tea were offered. We did ask for decaffeinated coffee, but unfortunately they didn't have any available.

Grand River Dinner Cruises has been operating since 1978, and it's easy to see why they've been around for so long. It was a relaxing evening, good food, and a great way to enjoy the Grand River. Grand River Dinner Cruises Jen Beliaeff Hulett Christy Webster Brian Webster
