We’re proud to be part of a team that believes in giving back to the community we call home. 💙

The FH&P Lawyers team recently came together to support the Kelowna Women’s Shelter, collecting several bags of gently used clothing, toiletries, and other essential items.

It was a simple way to make a difference, but it felt great to come together as a team and support an organization doing such important work in our community.

The Supreme Court of Canada just made a big call: intimate partner violence is now its own legal claim. Not a label for a bad marriage. Not a rough patch. It's what happens when someone can't be themselves anymore because their partner controls their choices, their money, and their voice.

What a fantastic evening on the green!

Congratulations to our FH&P team—Karsten, Dustin, Ana, and Bennett—for taking home the On The Lawn Champion trophy!

We're especially proud because this annual lawn bowling tournament supports Elevation Outdoors, a local non-profit dedicated to providing mentorship and barrier-free outdoor sports programs for youth. It's always a privilege to participate in events that strengthen our community while supporting such an incredible cause.

To top it all off, we've heard it's been 10 years since FH&P last claimed the championship title... making this win even sweeter!

Congratulations to our champions for representing FH&P so well—and to everyone involved in organizing another great community event.

Not so much of a "fun fact", but did you know that Canada's last executions in 1962 took place at Toronto's Don Jail? The Don Jail also happened to be notoriously decrepit, freezing in winter, and widely considered a disaster, a fitting end to capital punishment in Canada.
