Okay, I need to rant about this quote going around: "In a world full of Taylor Swifts, be an Erika Kirk."
Erika Kirk literally just became CEO of Turning Point USA. She also owns a clothing brand, runs a ministry business, AND works in real estate.
So wait... they're telling us not to be like a successful career woman by... pointing to a successful career woman? WHAT?
THIS IS ABOUT CONTROL!
They don't hate that Taylor Swift is successful. They hate that she's successful AND doesn't do what they want. She built a billion-dollar empire, speaks her mind, and doesn't ask for permission. That's the threat.
Meanwhile, Erika Kirk - despite running multiple businesses - talked publicly about "submitting" to her husband and promoted their traditional gender role agenda. SO, You CAN be ambitious... but ONLY if you stay in line. Got it...
Also the modesty thing is gross too.
Notice they're also judging how these women dress and present themselves. Taylor wears sparkly outfits on stage. Erika dresses modestly. The subtext? "You can succeed, but only if you look and act how we tell you to." They're literally policing women's bodies and calling it "values".
The tradwife agenda is about dependence, not choice
They're trying to rebrand "women should be financially dependent on men" as empowerment. But here's the truth: financially independent women are harder to control. And funny enough, most of the women SELLING this tradwife lifestyle? They have careers, platforms, and their own money. They're not actually living what they're preaching.
Pitting women against each other - "good girls" vs "bad girls," modest vs immodest, traditional vs modern - is the oldest trick in the patriarchy playbook. While we're busy judging each other, the system that limits ALL of us stays exactly the same.
Let me end with this: Your worth isn't determined by your career, your outfit, or how well you fit into someone else's idea of what a woman should be. Period.
We need to stop letting ANYONE use women as weapons against other women.
Be whoever you want. Just stop tearing other women down to build yourself up.
