🏍️ Two Wheels or Four, We Share the Road.
It’s officially motorcycle season! While the warmer weather brings more riders to the streets, it also brings a sobering reality: Motorcyclists are 13.5 times more likely to die in a collision than car drivers.
Without the protection of airbags or roll cages, there is a much smaller margin for error. Safety isn't just a rider's responsibility—it belongs to all of us.
🛑 Drivers: Look Twice
The most dangerous spots for riders are intersections and driveways. Many drivers on "autopilot" scan for cars but fail to see smaller profiles like bikes or mopeds.
The Fix: Remind yourself to look specifically for motorcyclists before turning left or pulling into traffic. A split-second check can save a life.
🛣️ Riders: Stay Sharp
Experience and split-second decision-making are key. Factors like speed, inexperience, and impairment can drastically change the outcome of a ride. Stay alert, stay sober, and stay visible.
⚖️ Know Your Rights
Every collision is fact-specific. Even if there were contributing factors like speed or inexperience, it does not necessarily bar a motorcyclist or their family from recovery.
Injured in a motorcycle accident? Don't navigate the legal road alone.
