JOB POSTING - ASSOCIATE LAWYER IN SUDBURY ON
Chaput Law is looking to hire two associates for a full-time position. Chaput Law is located in Sudbury, Ontario and services the city of Sudbury, North Bay, Espanola, Elliot Lake and other northern cities. This position is hybrid, some office days will be required. Chaput Law practices mainly in Family Law, Fertility Law and Child Protection Law. We are open to hiring someone who has experience in other areas of law such as Real Estate Law, Criminal Law, etc
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and options
Skills:
- Proficient in using Lexis-Nexis or other legal research tools
- Strong legal drafting skills with the ability to write clear and concise documents
- Excellent research skills to gather relevant information and analyze legal issues
- Strong negotiation skills to advocate for clients' interests
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
