For years, I was the one walking up to your window.

I know exactly what goes into that ticket.
I know what the officer wrote in his notes,
and I know what that radar unit can and can't actually prove - because I trained officers on how to use it.

Then I switched sides.

Now I sit on the other side of the room and read those same files.
The disclosure.
The calibration records.
The officer's notes.
All the things almost nobody asks for before they pay.

And here's what I see every week: most people pay the ticket because paying feels easier than fighting it.
Then the insurance renewal shows up and they find out what "easier" actually cost them.

The fine on the paper is never the real number.

Don't pay that ticket until you know what it really costs.

Call us first. The conversation is always free. 📞 780-380-5511

People listen up!!!!

I will never agree with you, when you ask me if it’s ok to break the law.

Here is an example.

I have a client who has been caught twice this week, for driving without a valid license. He just texted me again, wanting to tell him it’s ok “if he is really careful”.

1. This is wrong to keep doing so.

2. It gives us liability, in case you get caught. Then you will come after us, saying “well you told me it’s ok”.

We are here to fight all your traffic tickets, but never ask us if you can break the law.

Maybe our competitors will tell you what you want to hear.

But the answer from us is always no.

Hello to all Alberta auto insurance agents.

A ticket served does not mean it was deserved!

If you have a client who gets a traffic ticket, please give them our number to discuss it. 780-380-5511.

It is a free conversation for them, and we won’t take on a new ticket(s) unless we know we can help.

We turn away people everyday, if we think it will be a waste of their money.

And please email me at

If you do refer someone. We keep track of referrals and we reward our referrers (if you want to know about our referral program, just message “please” below)

Would you hire a plumber to build your website for you?

Obviously not.

It’s the same way with law. That’s why lawyers have their specialities.

They aren’t great at everything.

Some lawyers spend time learning traffic law. But most don’t.

F*cking find out the qualifications people!!!

Lots of people will take your money!

I just had a client hire us, who had a lawyer who tried to handle their case.

Excellent firm, but they don’t deal with traffic tickets.

And unsurprisingly, they botched the whole thing. Then they told the client all the reasons how he screwed up and that they advised he just plead guilty.

Worst advice ever.

Now we have to come in to fix their screwup. This is a resolvable case where we will get a better result for their ticket.

How do I know this?

Because it’s our specialty. It’s what we do everyday.

Please check the actual qualifications and background whenever you hire someone.

Regardless of industry.

Don’t hire a plumber to build your website.

THE UCP GOVERNMENT IS SLYLY TRYING TO TAKE AWAY YOUR RIGHT TO A FAIR TRIAL!!!!! - please share.

Rumours out of Calgary are flying around that the UCP Government is trying to secretly start up Phase two of their Saferoads project again. They are going after traffic tickets again.

1. Phase 1 was the online portal for the Notice of Administrative Penalty - where you now have to prove you weren’t impaired (as opposed to the cops having to prove you were).

As one former cop friend of mine said, “the cops no longer even need evidence”.

Phase 1 is a complete disaster. Witness statements - not needed.
Video evidence - not required to turn over to defence.
Hearsay third party statements - entered as fact.

Now, after a public outcry several years ago that caused the UCP to shut down Phase 2 before it even started, supposedly they are attempting to creep it back in without anyone hearing about it.

Phase 2 will mean you no longer can fight your ticket in court. There will no longer be an independent judge.

Last time they wanted you to pay $150 if you wanted to fight it, and they keep the money even if you win (they already do this with Phase 1 - prove you did nothing wrong and pay $150 anyways).

You can’t cross examine the cop. You can’t question their expertise. You can’t cross examine witnesses.

No negotiation.

No evidence required.

It doesn’t matter what you say. All that matters will be the narrative the cop submits.

And that will be binding truth, since Saferoads believes cops never lie - but defendants always do.

The government just raised the fines again on traffic tickets.

The government refuses to rein in insurance premiums, letting their buddies make millions off us all.

Now they don’t want to let you have your day in court.

Everyone needs to know before it’s too late.

$1000/mo!!!!!

I just had someone call me, who did not respond in time (there is a date on the ticket that tells you when you have until), to his Careless Driving ticket.

Now, the ticket is on his record.

And his car insurance is now $1000/mo.

DO NOT FORGET TO RESPOND TO YOUR TICKETS!

If you aren’t sure what to do, then call us. We can explain what’s going on and what you need to do.

Some of our clients call us from the side of the road, so they don’t forget later.

A free conversation with us could’ve saved this guy over $25,000 in the next 3 years.

Before you pay that ticket - read this 👇

Paying a traffic ticket online feels like the easy way out. Two minutes, done, forget it.

Except it isn't done. Paying = pleading guilty. And that's where the real cost starts.

Check these 3 things first:

1. Your insurance
The fine happens once. A conviction on your record can raise your premium at renewal after renewal.

2. Your demerit points
Points stay on your driving record long after you've forgotten the fine. If you drive for a living, that record IS your job.

3. The evidence
Officer notes, disclosure, how the device was actually used - it doesn't always hold up. But somebody has to check.

It's never "just a ticket." We protect what it really costs.

Holy Fu*k people, read your paperwork!!!!!

Anything that you get given from an officer either has a court date that you need to appear at, or a date that you need to respond by, or a date you need to appeal by. It could also have a date you need to be fingerprinted on.

These dates vary, and you could have multiple different dates depending on the charges you have received.

FOR A NOTICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE PENALTY (NAP), YOU ONLY HAVE 7 DAYS!!!!!

I just had a lady call who has court tomorrow for her traffic tickets, and she didn’t read the NAP. She assumed they were all the same date.

(Yes you could file a late appeal on the NAP, but I’ve never seen an adjudicator grant the appeal for something like this).

Please read your paperwork. Now it’s too late for her to dispute the NAP and she gets her 1 year suspension, the $1200 fine, has to pay for (and complete) the planning ahead course, may have to pay to get a blow box installed, and gets a huge insurance increase.

All because she didn’t take the time to read her paperwork.

Everyone, you need to f*cking understand this!!!

For whatever reason, people do this all the time.

I had a young lady call me today. She had gotten a speeding in a playground zone ticket.

Her plan was to take a defensive driving course (DDC), so that she could then get rid of up to 3 demerits off her record.

Because “then my insurance won’t go up”.

Insurance companies look at convictions, and types of convictions. Your rate is not based on demerits.

So, taking the DDC does not get rid of the conviction off her record.

Luckily, she called us first.

Please don’t make this mistake!
