MEDIATE, DON'T LITIGATE

The Chief Justice of the Court of Queen's Bench has recently announced that there will be significant delays in family and civil trials. While delay are not new to the court system, obtaining your day in court could take several months and possibly years.

Mediation is an alternative to the court process. With mediation, the parties sit down with a neutral third party who helps them to generate and reach solutions for their dispute. It is a process that is less costly, more time effective and less stressful for the people involved. Some cases can be resolved with as little as one to two mediation sessions and there is no need to wait months for a court date.

As a nationally certified mediator, I provide mediation services for family and workplace disputes. I offer mediation services in person or virtually, depending on your particular needs. I prioritize my mediation services, so most mediations can occur within 1-2 weeks of initial contact with the parties. Depending on your particular situation, mediation can be an effective alternative to the court process.
