Member Story of the Day - Refund:

“Helping a member get refunded after a hotel cancellation. Our member had planned an event to take place at a hotel. There was rescheduling involved due to COVID-19, and the hotel was giving her the runaround. Ultimately, the event could not be held, and refunds were to be issued. The hotel promised to issue a refund on multiple occasions but never did. We wrote a letter on her behalf in April, and our member has already issued a refund check in the mail, for over $700. Member Story of the Day - Security Deposit:

“When my husband and I were moving out of our first apartment, we requested our security deposit be returned to us. Our landlady replied "Well, I never give them back". We argued our lease said we were entitled to it but she didn't budge. I called our provider attorney with LegalShield and they asked to review our contract as well as all the written correspondence we had with the landlady. They agreed we were entitled to our deposit and asked if we would like them to send a letter on our behalf. We agreed and came home a few days later to find a $450 check in our mailbox from our landlady.
