We had another crazy spring snow storm!! I could barely open my car door yesterday without the snow getting in.

The roads were terrible. I know there were so many accidents. If you ended up getting into an accident, feel free to reach out to me either here or by email at [email protected]. How many “winters” have we had so far this season? Feels like we are on 4 or 5. Massive snowfall followed by unseasonably warm weather. It definitely makes for some icy roads and then fast driving when it feels like summer again. Bad combination for car accidents to occur.

There is a 2 year limitation date from the date of the accident to file a statement of claim in court, otherwise you can no longer make a claim. If I am retained, I make sure I meet that limitation, and around that time, if you have suffered injuries as a result of the accident, we start assessing the documentation that we have in order to determine how much your claim may be worth.

Finally warm enough to go outside! Millie was getting really restless staying inside during the deep freeze but today we took advantage of the warmer weather and went for a run outside! Then I had pho to warm up at my favourite spot for . Millie also got to come and see some clients at my out of office appointments!

It was another freezing cold day outside. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm. The roads are still very icy and the fog this morning did not help. There have been over 300 car accidents reported to the collision centres in Edmonton this week. Even though yesterday was a holiday, for me it was a work from home day with my favourite girl! We got a lot done and I was able to catch up on reviewing medical charts and reports for my motor vehicle accident clients, reviewing financial disclosure for my family law clients, and making sure all my ducks are in a row for my real estate closings next week!

Unfortunately it's that time of year again. The first snowfall of the year always leads to a spike in motor vehicle accidents. The roads were icy and dangerous yesterday and with the rise and fall in temperatures later this week I expect conditions may only worsen.
