👋 Meet Tanya Maas, our workplace lawyer serving Kamloops and the surrounding area! Tanya started out as a legal assistant before earning her law degree from the University of Victoria. Her focus is employment law, including wrongful dismissal, notice periods, human rights, and workplace investigations. She also helps with personal injury, residential tenancy, breach of contract, and debt recovery matters.
⚖️ Tanya knows that reaching out to a lawyer usually happens during a stressful time, so she takes a compassionate, collaborative approach and makes sure you feel heard and confident every step of the way. She's a skilled negotiator who tries to resolve matters outside of court when possible, but she's not afraid to fight hard for you in the courtroom. She has represented clients at trials, chambers hearings, and tribunals like the BC Human Rights Tribunal and the Employment Standards Tribunal. One recent highlight was a fast-tracked win for her client in a constructive dismissal case, Shale v. Douglas Lake Equipment (B.C.S.C. – Kamloops Registry).
