🚨 Citizenship Update – Important Notice for Applicants 🇨🇦

Canada is asking some new citizens to return their citizenship certificates as IRCC reviews certain citizenship by descent applications.

📌 Why some files may be flagged:
• Documents not from original source authorities
• Missing proof for unavailable records
• Incomplete family lineage documentation

⚠️ Important: This is not citizenship revocation. IRCC may be asking some applicants to provide additional evidence while their files are reviewed.

✅ How to strengthen your application:
• Use official government records
• Submit certified copies
• Include explanations for missing documents
• Provide proof of record search efforts

If you received a review notice or need help preparing a strong citizenship application, professional guidance can help you avoid delays and mistakes.

Alberta AAIP Draws 2026: Province Invites Over 1,500 Candidates in Latest Selection Rounds.

Alberta has issued another major round of invitations through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, creating new opportunities for workers in several high-demand sectors.

Between May 20 and June 2, 2026, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, also known as AAIP, held seven provincial immigration draws and invited a total of 1,550 candidates to apply for provincial nomination. These latest draws targeted workers in sectors that continue to play an important role in Alberta’s economic growth, including manufacturing, technology, agriculture and construction.

For foreign workers already living in Alberta, this is an important update. The province continues to use targeted draws to select candidates who can help address labour shortages and support long-term workforce needs.

At Gogna Immigration Inc. in Edmonton, we help applicants understand how Alberta’s provincial nomination system works and how to prepare a stronger application for permanent residence.
