Carpenter – Construction Management Division

We are looking for a full time carpenter to help on commercial and residential construction projects.

This position involves general carpentry role and responsibilities that would include, but are not limited to:
- Carpentry on new construction & renovation projects such as framing, siding, demolition, finish carpentry, etc.
- Work with and assisting site foremen, carpenters, labours and trade contractor on construction projects
- Pick-ups and deliveries of material/equipment’s for construction projects

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Must have minimum 1 year experience working in construction
- Must have experience working with hand tools & power tools
- Must possess knowledge of construction trades, methods and materials
- Must be flexible in responding to changing priorities during the day
- Must be able to work under time constraints and specific deadlines
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence
- Carpentry education is an asset, but not a requirement

Carpenters earns a competitive hourly wage based on experience

*Steel toe boots are required for this position. Hard hat, safety vest and other safety equipment will be provided by the company.

There’s more to this province than low-priced lobster and high-rising tides. New Brunswick is home to Canada’s oldest independently-owned chocolatier (you guessed it, it’s Ganong), the world’s largest axe, North America’s first cymbal factory, and a river that runs backwards.

Our favourite local “first” was a fellow born in Shediac who invented Crossword Game, released over a decade before the Scrabble was invented. While it may have been that the Americans beat us to the patent office, it may also have been that the three pages of rules for Crossword Game were just too much for most freezing Canadians to chew through on a winter’s night in 1925.

Ville de Shediac / Town of Shediac has been making up for lost time, however. Now home to one of the most active Scrabble communities in Atlantic Canada, they have claimed a new title for their lobster-famous town: The Scrabble Capitol of Canada.
