If you are considering uniting with your parents or grandparents in Canada the news states, starting May 21, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will begin sending invitations to 35,700 potential sponsors who submitted their interest to sponsor forms back in 2020. These invitations will roll out over approximately 2 weeks, offering a new opportunity to bring your loved ones closer. If you submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020, please monitor the email address used during the application process. An invitation to apply could be waiting for you! Don’t worry if you missed the previous interest to sponsor form. Your parents or grandparents can still enjoy extended visits to Canada with a Super Visa, allowing them to stay for up to 5 years per visit and extend their stay while in Canada.
