This one is for all the game-loving local people that call the area we work in "home". .marleenwalz made you a little something.

Starting today, every Wednesday until the end of the year, we're sharing one true, slightly surprising fact about this place we all call home — phrased the old Jeopardy way, answer first, question second.

We're calling it Back Forty Trivia — because "the back forty" is farm-speak for the part of the land you don't see from the road, and that's exactly what this is: the Headwaters facts you won't find on the first page of a search, only from actually knowing this place.

Here's how it works: Wednesday morning — we post the clue. You guess in the comments, in the form of a question (no peeking online — we'll know!) Thursday — the answer gets pinned right up top, with a little more of the story.

Gathered in Gold — the hay bales of Dufferin and Clearview

If you've driven the back roads between Grand Valley and Creemore this week, you've seen them — big round bales sitting gold in the fields, catching the evening light. 🎬 After a summer break, the Creemore Film Club is set to return in September! Presented by Purple Hills Arts & Heritage Society in partnership with Creemore Village Green, and brought to you in conjunction with TIFF's Film Circuit— now screening at the newly renovated Avening Hall. Avening is a historic rural hamlet in Clearview Township, Ontario, located just southeast of Creemore along County Road 42 (Airport Road) by the Mad River.
