Workplace accommodation is generally a process. An employer may need to consider the request, review relevant supporting information, explore reasonable options, and assess whether the accommodation would create undue hardship.
That does not always mean an employee will receive the exact accommodation they asked for. But it does mean the request should be taken seriously and handled fairly.
A lawyer can help you understand whether your employer’s response was reasonable, and what options may be available to you.
