This journey evolved significantly. My clients originally started their search looking at a condo, then a townhouse, and eventually a duplex. We were even very close to purchasing a duplex near Metrotown.

However, as the detached market continued to soften, I had to step back and reassess the bigger picture. I advised my clients that we now had an opportunity to purchase a detached home for the same or even lower price, just 10 minutes away, in an area with stronger long-term infrastructure and livability.

We made the decision to reset the search completely โ€” not an easy call emotionally, but the right one strategically. From there, we found this property and successfully landed the deal.

From start to finish, there were many variables that could have created stress or uncertainty. My priority was to shield my clients from that as much as possible and manage those challenges behind the scenes โ€” even after completion.

This was truly a special property โ€” but also a niche one, in a market that was steadily working against sellers.
From the beginning, I was very transparent with my clients. Cutting the price would have been the easiest way to sell. But if the goal was to maximize value, then the real strategy wasnโ€™t speed โ€” it was time. Time to meet the right buyer who could truly appreciate what this home offered.

We stayed on the market for nearly two years. Throughout that period, I continued to show the property at every opportunity, kept a close pulse on market activity, and stayed disciplined in negotiations. The objective was always the same: be ready when timing finally aligned, without compromising position along the way.
That patience paid off. Despite one of the most challenging markets sellers have faced in years, we were able to sell for one of the highest prices ever achieved in the complex.
