We’ve been wanting to give a shoutout to Sheepdog Brewing since they opened their doors here in Cochrane, what a great addition to our community!

You all know we love supporting our local businesses, but it's even more special when we know how much work, time and heart went into getting it here.

Sheepdog’s story started years ago with Josh and Allan dreaming about opening a brewery. What started with a vision and a passion for great b**r has grown into locations in Canmore, Banff and now right here in Cochrane. The Sheepdog family has literally built their locations themselves, with family pitching in behind the scenes to help make it all happen. It really has been a labour of love!

The Cochrane location was designed to be a community gathering spot, and we think they’ve nailed that feeling. They’ve partnered with Pete’s Za Co., which operates right inside the taproom. You order your food and drinks at the counter, grab your goodies and find a spot (they also have a variety of board games available to bring to your table!) It's a laidback atmosphere with great b**r, great food, and great service.

They’ve brewed hundreds of recipes over the years, and their Cochrane brewery is now producing b**r right here in our community. In fact, Swig and a Miss is the first b**r brewed in town! We're so excited to have another establishment that give's people a reason to get out, meet their neighbours, and enjoy where they live.
