LEGISLATIVE SERVICES: We would like to remind residents of the Itinerant Vendor Bylaw (017-2025) regarding door-to-door sales.

An Itinerant Vendor Licence is required to sell goods or services door-to-door in the Town of Cobourg. This includes displaying samples of goods to be delivered at a later date or conducting business at a location in Town other than a permanent place of business.

If residents believe a vendor is selling goods or services door-to-door without a licence, they may:

📝 Ask vendors to show their issued Itinerant Vendor Licence
📞 Contact Municipal Law Enforcement with the company name and contact details to report unlicensed activity: 905-372-8380

ℹ️ Please note: There is currently one Itinerant Vendor Licence issued in the Town of Cobourg. A list of Itinerant Vendor Licences issued is available on the Cobourg website at 👉cobourg.ca/doortodoor

🌈 Pride Month is a time to celebrate authenticity, resilience, and community — but it's also a time to recognize that intimate partner violence affects LGBTQ+ individuals at alarming rates.
Research shows that:
🏳️‍🌈 44% of le***an women, 61% of bisexual women, and 35% of heterosexual women have experienced domestic violence
🏳️‍🌈 26% of gay men, 37% of bisexual men, and 29% of heterosexual men have experienced domestic violence
No one should have to face abuse alone. Yet many LGBTQ+ survivors encounter additional barriers when seeking help, including fear of discrimination, stigma, isolation, and a lack of affirming services.
Through the Your Way Forward program, the Northumberland Community Legal Centre provides free, confidential support for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence. Our team offers both legal services and social support, helping individuals navigate their options, understand their rights, and access the resources they need in a safe, affirming environment.
