5 things I won’t do as your realtor.

1. Push you to offer more than a place is worth because the market’s “hot.”
2. Tell you a home is move in ready when it needs $30k in work first.
3. Rush you into a decision because I want the deal closed by month end.
4. Sugarcoat an inspection report to keep things moving.
5. Disappear once the offer’s accepted. The work isn’t done until you have keys in hand.

Not because it sounds good, because I have seen what happens when someone does the opposite. If you don’t see anything here you disagree with, we’ll probably work well together.

A "quick stop" in Chilliwack doesn't really exist when you're a local realtor. 😄

Sometimes it's someone I sold a home to last year. Or a neighbour I've known for a decade. Maybe it's a past client's kid who just started looking for their first place. Whoever it is, that quick stop always turns into something more, when I run into people I know and honestly? I love it.

That's one of my favourite parts about this job! I'm not just working in a community, I'm a part of it. And in a place like Chilliwack, those relationships don't go away when the deal closes.

Those relationships I've gotten to cultivate matter, and those connections are what make Chilliwack feel like home.

Not to rain on your parade, but when it comes to viewing a home, I always encourage buyers to think practically during showings.

Why? Because often in those moments, buyers are caught up with the emotion of the space that they forget about how the property would feel for everyday living.

Some tips I give buyers are to think about whether the home is close to grocery stores you frequent, what the parking situation is when friends and family come to visit, and traffic in and around the neighbourhood.
