Stephen Penney studied law at Dalhousie University and commenced his legal career in his home province of Newfoundland and Labrador. He moved to Cambridge with his family in 2013 to join John Lennox as an associate lawyer and later became a partner in the law practice.

Stephen’s practice areas include Real Estate, Corporate/Commercial, and Wills & Estates.

One of the most enjoyable parts of his practice is getting to know his clients, understanding their perspectives and dilemmas, and helping them to complete their transaction or find a satisfactory resolution to their matter.

In his free time, and he isn’t occupied with his children’s hockey and other sports activities, Stephen enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Introducing our Partner/Lawyer, Chris Baillargeon.

Chris graduated with a Bachelors of Commerce, from the University of Windsor in 2011. He then went on to work in executive recruitment for several years, before attending Queen’s University in Kingston for Law, graduating in 2018. Chris became a member of the Ontario Bar in June of 2019, and started with Lennox & Penney shortly thereafter. He was an associate lawyer until January 2024, when Chris became a partner at Lennox & Penney LLP, where he specializes in Real Estate law, Business/Corporate law, and Wills and Estates.

Chris operates a client facing practice, and enjoys developing relationships with his clients, who mainly consist of individuals, families, and small businesses. He makes an effort to clearly explain legal situations/problems to his clients, as it is important to him that his clients feel like their legal matters are heard and that they understand the situation before them.

When Chris isn’t at the office he enjoys biking, skiing, going to the movies, playing games, and spending time with his family and friends.
