When supporting someone on this journey, remind them that their true worth lies in their presence, energy, and stories—not in their physical belongings. Frame downsizing not as a loss, but as a beautiful, deliberate choice to trade the burden of maintaining things for the absolute joy of maintaining relationships that matter most.
