IRCC has just announced major changes to how CRS points are awarded for Canadian work experience and job offers. If you are in the Express Entry pool, or planning to enter it, this affects you. Here's what you need to know.

𝟏. 𝐀 𝐧𝐞𝐰 "𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧" 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫
You can now earn up to 150 CRS points from EITHER your Canadian work experience OR a qualifying job offer, not both. IRCC will automatically give you whichever option scores higher.

𝟐. 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨 𝐋𝐌𝐈𝐀 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝!
- A job offer no longer needs an LMIA to qualify
- It can be for a new or existing position, with a new or existing employer
- Up to 100 points for a job offer in an eligible high-wage occupation (50, 70, or 100 points depending on the wage level)

A job offer outside the high-wage list gets 0 CRS points, although it may still help you qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker or Federal Skilled Trades programs.

𝟑. 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐰𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
On top of your regular work-experience points, you can earn 20, 40, or 70 bonus points if you have at least 1 year of Canadian experience in an eligible high-wage occupation. "High-wage" is based on your NOC code's national median wage, not your personal salary.

𝟒. 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞
IRCC will recalculate all existing profiles, which may take up to two weeks. No draws during that period.

Our analysis: who benefits most?
- Temporary workers in Canada in high-paying fields (tech, engineering, healthcare, finance, management)
- Candidates with genuine job offers who couldn't get an LMIA before
- Single applicants, who can reach the full 150 points

𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆: 𝐁𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐝!
Because LMIAs are no longer required, we expect fake "job offer sellers" to target people, especially in Bangladesh and South Asia. Every job offer will still be checked by an IRCC officer, who will verify that the employer is real and active, can honour the offer, and follows employment laws, and that you are qualified for the job. A fake offer can lead to refusal and a misrepresentation ban. Never pay for a job offer.

Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA) কী?

আপনি লিখিতভাবে Canada-কে জানাচ্ছেন: “আমাকে দেশে ফেরত পাঠালে persecution, torture, বা আপনার জীবনের ঝুঁকি আছে ।’’

এখানে IRB নেই। Decision নেন একজন IRCC officer। Removal-এর আগে এটাই Canada-র শেষ legal protection.

কারা apply করতে পারেন?

এক - যাঁদের refugee claim IRB reject করেছে অথবা যাঁরা claim withdraw বা abandon করেছেন। শর্ত: ১২ মাস পার হতে হবে, আর শুধু new evidence গ্রহণযোগ্য ।

দুই - Bill C-12-এর কারণে যাঁদের claim IRB-তে referral-ই পায়নি। এঁদের ১২ মাস অপেক্ষা করতে হয় না, আর শুরু থেকেই full evidence দেওয়া যায় ।

তিন - এটাই সবচেয়ে কম জানা: যাঁরা কখনো refugee claim করেনইনি। Expired study permit, work permit বা visitor visa নিয়ে out of status হয়ে গেছেন, এখন removal order-এর মুখে, তাঁদের জন্যও PRRA খোলা। কোনো ১২ মাসের bar নেই, full evidence দেওয়া যায় ।

চার - যাঁদের PR বা sponsorship application refuse হয়েছে, status শেষ, removal order চলে এসেছে ।

পাঁচ - যাঁরা misrepresentation -র কারণে inadmissible। তাঁদের ক্ষেত্রে restricted PRRA, assessment সীমিত, আর সফল হলে protected person status নয়, শুধু stay of removal.

Deadline:
আপনি নিজে থেকে PRRA apply করতে পারবেন না। CBSA যখন notify করবে, তখনই clock শুরু ।
Package হাতে হাতে পেলে ১৫ দিন । ডাকে পেলে ২২ দিন । তারপর evidence আর written submission-এর জন্য আরও ১৫ দিন ।

Deadline miss করলে PRRA-র অধিকারটাই চলে যায়। কোনো extension নেই, কোনো grace period নেই।
