Global Citizen Solutions recently published “Best Places to Live in Canada 2025” where Toronto ranked at # 11, while Edmonton ranks in the top three alongside Ottawa and Calgary! 🥉
Compared to other cities, Edmonton’s strong economy, low cost of living and competitive wages made it a standout choice. It’s also known as the “Festival City” for its 50 annual festivals celebrating heritage, music, art, films and more to keep residents entertained year-round. 🎊
As for me, flying out to Edmonton last fall to attend my first live UFC event was a trip to remember. The sold-out Rogers Place arena had tremendous energy and the overwhelming scale of West Edmonton Mall was an impressive spectacle I did not expect. The city drew me in with its balance of quiet suburbs and a bustling downtown core. 🥊
And, knowing me… I couldn’t help but check out the real estate prices while I was in town with whole houses selling for the price of some of the one bedroom condos in the GTA. 😬
