🇨🇦 Canada Express Entry Update: Get 100, 70 or 50 Extra CRS Points! 🚨

Starting November 3, 2026, eligible job offers in certain high-wage occupations may help you earn extra CRS points for Canada PR. An LMIA will no longer be required for qualifying job offers.

📌 How many points can you get?

✅ 100 CRS Points – Jobs with a national median wage at least 2 times Canada's overall median wage.

✅ 70 CRS Points – Jobs with a median wage at least 1.5 times higher.

✅ 50 CRS Points – Jobs with a median wage at least 1.3 times higher.

❌ 0 Points – Jobs that are not on IRCC's eligible high-wage occupation list.

📢 Important Things to Know:

🔹 Points depend on your occupation's NOC code, not your personal salary.

🔹 You must have a genuine, qualifying job offer.

🔹 The job offer must be for full-time, continuous work in Canada for at least one year after becoming a permanent resident.

🔹 All IRCC eligibility requirements must be met.

Starting November 3, 2026, eligible Canadian job offers in high-wage occupations could give you 50, 70, or even 100 extra CRS points! 📈

✅ No LMIA required for qualifying job offers under the new rules.

✅ Having an LMIA will not give you extra points or priority.

✅ Your job offer must meet IRCC's requirements.

✅ IRCC will check if your job offer is genuine and if you qualify for the position.

⚠️ Important: Not every job offer will give you extra CRS points. Your occupation must be on IRCC's eligible high-wage occupation list.

IRCC has announced major changes to Canada's Express Entry system, introducing a new Labour Market Integration factor that could help eligible applicants earn CRS points.

💼 What's changing?

✅ CRS points for eligible Canadian work experience, including extra points for high-wage occupations.

✅ CRS points for qualifying job offers in high-wage occupations.

✅ No LMIA required for a qualifying job offer under the new rules.

💰 High-wage occupations are divided into 3 levels based on the national median wage for each occupation.

📌 Important: Applicants can receive points for either Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer under this new factor, not both.

If you are an international student in Canada and planning to apply for your Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), make sure you check everything before submitting your application!

✅ Check your PGWP eligibility
✅ Apply within the 180-day deadline
✅ Review your study history
✅ Check your language test scores
✅ Make sure your program meets the requirements
✅ Check your passport validity and immigration status
