In this podcast clip, Gurpreet Singh explains the uncertainty around Ontario’s Workforce Priority stream and why candidates should consider alternative routes to permanent residence.

💡 Learning French could open another option through French-language Express Entry draws, if you meet the eligibility requirements.

📌 Keep track of OINP updates, assess your eligibility, and prepare a backup plan instead of waiting without exploring other options.

Ontario PNP: What Should Candidates Do Next?

🇨🇦 Many candidates put their French-language preparation or relocation plans on hold after new PNP opportunities opened, hoping to secure Canada PR through an employer job offer.

In this podcast, Gurpreet Singh discusses the uncertainty surrounding Ontario’s PNP, the time candidates may have lost, and the risks of relying on a single immigration pathway.

📌 The key takeaway: Don’t put all your hopes on one pathway. Review your eligibility, keep alternative options open, and follow official OINP updates.

💰 $100K Salary in Canada: How Much Do You Actually Keep?

A $100,000 annual salary in Canada may sound impressive, but your actual take-home pay will be lower after taxes and payroll deductions.

Here’s what affects your income:

• Federal and provincial income taxes
• Canada Pension Plan (CPP) contributions
• Employment Insurance (EI) premiums

Your final take-home pay depends on the province you live in, the applicable tax rates, and your personal circumstances. That’s why it’s important to look beyond your annual salary when planning your monthly budget or considering a job offer in Canada.

Planning to work in Canada? Understand your potential take-home income before making your next move!

🇨🇦 Canada Careers: Follow the Demand, Not the Hype!

Planning to build your future in Canada? Healthcare, skilled trades, technology, construction, and clean energy are sectors worth researching when exploring career opportunities.

However, working in an in-demand occupation does not automatically guarantee a job offer or Canadian permanent residence (PR).

Before making your move, research job prospects, required qualifications, professional licensing, and the immigration pathways that may fit your profile. The right preparation can help you make more informed decisions about your future in Canada.

Canada is refocusing Express Entry to attract workers who can support economic growth!

At her Kitchener announcement, Immigration Minister Lena Diab revealed major changes effective November 3, 2026:

📌 Extra CRS points for eligible Canadian work experience in high-wage occupations or a qualifying high-wage job offer.

📌 An LMIA will no longer be required for qualifying job offers to receive CRS points or meet certain Federal Skilled Worker and Federal Skilled Trades Program job-offer requirements.

📌 Existing Express Entry profiles will be recalculated automatically. Candidates seeking job-offer points should update their profiles before November 3.

⚠️ A qualifying job offer must still be genuine, and extra points do not guarantee Canada PR.
