π¨π¨π¦ EXPRESS ENTRY IS CHANGING β AND YOUR CRS SCORE COULD CHANGE TOO!
On October 16, IRCC announced major changes to Express Entry, taking effect November 3, 2026.
Hereβs whatβs changing π
πΌ JOB OFFER POINTS ARE BACK!
Eligible high-wage job offers may qualify for 50, 70, or 100 CRS points, depending on the occupation.
π¨π¦ NEW POINTS FOR CANADIAN WORK EXPERIENCE
Qualifying Canadian work experience in eligible high-wage occupations may provide additional CRS points.
π NEW LMIA RULES
An LMIA will no longer be required for certain qualifying job offers under the updated Express Entry rules.
π CRS RECALCULATION
IRCC will recalculate existing Express Entry profiles, with invitation rounds temporarily paused during the transition.
β οΈ But hereβs the catch:
Not every job offer qualifies. Not every Canadian worker will receive additional points. And having both a qualifying job offer and Canadian work experience doesnβt mean you can combine both sets of points.
So what does this mean for YOUR Express Entry profile?
Swipe through to understand the changes and what you should review before November 3. π
