Join us in Millennium Park as our community comes together to recognize and celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day.

This meaningful event, hosted by North Hastings Children's Services, will feature cultural sharing, reflection, and opportunities to learn about the rich histories, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples.
All are welcome to attend, listen, and participate in a spirit of respect and understanding. Let’s come together to honour Indigenous voices and continue building a path toward awareness, reconciliation, and connection.

Councillor Charles Mullet, Chair of the Bancroft OPP Detachment Board, attended the 2026 Police Governance of Ontario AGM and Spring Conference alongside Bancroft Detachment Commander Trevor Pitts. Ontario Provincial Police - East Region

The conference brought together representatives from across Ontario to share insights, strengthen governance practices, and support effective, community-focused policing.

Mayor Jenkins was in to congratulate partners, Sam Ferrill and Larry Minnikin (in photo) on the opening of their new business, "Choice Cuts". SCMC Bancroft had a successful soft opening and they are now preparing for their Grand Opening Celebration on June 27 at 10:00 a.m.

The event will also feature a fundraising BBQ in support of Hospice North Hastings the North Hastings Community Cupboard . It is good to see a new local business already making a positive contribution to the community.
