👋 Meet Lewis Nguyen, who brought some serious bench strength to our Solicitor team this spring!

Called to the bar in 2004, Lewis has built a broad solicitor’s practice across BC encompassing residential and commercial real estate, commercial lending, corporate law, and wills and estates—all areas he now practises at RDM. With a particular focus on real estate, Lewis brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to even the most complex transactions.

He also wasted no time making an impact. An avid runner and marathoner, Lewis put that endurance to good use in his first full month, helping our Real Estate team complete the highest number of transactions in a single month since we began tracking in 2017.

Experienced, dependable and always willing to jump in, he has hit his stride quickly at RDM. We are very glad he ran his way back to the Fraser Valley!

👋 Meet Anna Pulimood, an excellent addition to our Solicitor team earlier this year!

Anna focuses on all things business law: from incorporations and shareholder agreements to commercial leases, reorganizations and management buyouts. She enjoys helping business owners navigate both the everyday legal needs of running a business and the bigger moments that come with growth and change.

Coming from a family of chefs, Anna decided to take a different path: become a lawyer and enjoy their cooking instead. She attended law school in India and practiced law internationally in both India and Bahrain before deciding a worldwide pandemic was as good a time as any to relocate. She immigrated to Canada in 2020, settling in Langley, where she has enjoyed raising her young family ever since.

Calm, cool and collected while also somehow always radiating sunshine, Anna has been a wonderful addition to our team.

Huge congratulations to Olivia Goertzen on being called to the bar!

Having first joined us as a summer student after 1L through articling, Olivia has been there to celebrate the call ceremonies of several of our students and colleagues over the years. Last week, it was finally her turn.

We were delighted to witness her Barristers & Solicitors' Oath alongside her family and celebrate this milestone with her. While it feels like Olivia has been part of our litigation group for quite some time, we are thrilled to officially welcome her as a lawyer!

As May comes to a close, we’re excited to welcome and welcome back a great group of students to RDM:

Suman Benipal (right): first joined us as a summer student and has now returned to article with the firm after completing her JD at Thompson Rivers University. During law school, Suman was heavily involved in access to justice initiatives, including with the South Asian Legal Clinic of BC, Pro Bono Students Canada and the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program. Originally from the Lower Mainland, she’s excited to be back and continuing to build her career in the community.

Lauren Bristow (centre): joins us as a Summer Student after completing her second year at Queen's University. Lauren previously completed an Honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Queen’s and recently made the move back to the Fraser Valley with her family. We’re glad to have her spending the summer with us and introducing her to practice in the Valley.

Rachel Hazelton (left): has returned as a Summer Student after previously spending years with RDM in a variety of roles, including as a paralegal and team lead in our Commercial Lending group. We’re thrilled to have her back with us again this summer after completing her first year of law school at Thompson Rivers University.

Gurneet Sidhu (not pictured, but here in spirit): first joined RDM as a summer student in 2025 and has now completed her JD at the University of Ottawa. She is currently completing PLTC and will officially return to article with the firm later this summer. Born and raised in Abbotsford, Gurneet is excited to begin her legal career in the community she calls home.

It’s such a privilege to work alongside students at this stage of their careers. This group is thoughtful, driven and genuinely enjoyable to be around!
