In order to fight and , it is necessary to improve the wider public’s understanding of history and the place of Roma in European history.
To this end, the Council of Europe's publication “The representation of Roma in major European museum collections. Volume 1 – The Louvre” focuses on what some of the works exhibited at the Musée du Louvre tell us about the place and perception of Roma in Europe from the 15th to the 19th century.

On 1 July, Germany took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. In our recommendations we want to stress the need to keep Roma a priority, to focus the on combatting and to involve in all part of the process.

In these uncertain times and on the occasion of the International , ERIO wants to recall that , despite being the largest minority in Europe, are still the most disadvantaged and discriminated community in the .
The current sanitary crisis makes it clear that any population is only as strong and protected as its most vulnerable citizens. For this reason, the discrimination and barriers faced by Roma not only affect them but all the European society.
ERIO wish to renew its commitment to promoting and fighting at all level of society. We also wish to call on all European citizens to stand strong in these difficult times and show their solidarity with the less fortunate.

Brussels: The EESC - European Economic and Social Committee is organising a public hearing on ''The housing situation of the Roma: evaluation and responses to segregation'' on the 14 October in Brussels. Registrations open until 10 October at 12:00. For the agenda and registration, click on the link below.

At its hearing of 14 October, the Study Group on the Inclusion of the Roma will be discussing the housing situation of the Roma and how to better tackle the ongoing segregation they are still facing today.

A local victory for Roma inclusion! Due to the endless efforts of our GA member ELPIDA, Roma children have finally been accepted to Xanthi schools in Greece. Right to education is embodied in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. Denying access to education is a clear sign of discrimination and institutional anti-Gypsyism.
