Ghana Embassy Visits USG Striker Mohammed Fuseini
On 2nd August, 2026 members of staff of the Ghana Embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Mission to the European Union paid a visit to Union Saint Gilloise (USG) striker Mohammed Fuseini.
This follows an unfortunate incident where five hooded men, in the early hours of Sunday, 26th July, 2026 in Brussels, attacked the footballer and made away with a few valuable items.
The Embassy team was delighted to find that the player is doing well after the traumatic experience and has been able to join the team for a number of training sessions.
Fuseini expressed gratitude to the Embassy and the Government of Ghana for their concern. He noted that Belgian authorities have begun investigations, he is receiving support from his club USG, and some items have been retrieved following the arrest of one suspect.
The Ghana Embassy will continue to monitor proceedings concerning this incident and will update the general public when required.
