Ghana and the EU signs new security agreement to revitalise cooperation towards addressing critical security needs.

The Vice President, Her Excellency Prof. Jane Naana Agyemang and the High Representative and Vice President of the European Commission, Her Excellency Kaja Kallas signed a Security Partnership Agreement on Tuesday, 24 March, 2026 during the visit of EU officials to Ghana.

At the signing ceremony, the EU reaffirmed its support to Ghana through ongoing security projects and the provision of equipment to strengthen Ghana’s capacity to address emerging threats.

Ghana is the first African country to conclude the Security Partnership Agreement with the EU. The signing of the agreement represents a key milestone in Ghana-EU relations as it demonstrates the strength of the partnership and signals a shared ambition to nurture and deepen the cooperation between the two sides.

THE AMBASSADOR-DESIGNATE OF GUINEA TO THE KINGDOM OF BELGIUM VISITS THE GHANA EMBASSY IN BRUSSELS.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to the Kingdom of Belgium, the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, Her Excellency Madame Aicha Nanette Conté paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Ghana in Brussels, His Excellency Henry Tachie-Menson

The two Ambassadors discussed issues of national and regional importance. The recent political developments in Guinea, notably the inauguration of His Excellency Mamadi Dombouya was at the center of the discussions.

The two Ambassadors agreed to continue discussions on bilateral and multilateral issues.
