Delighted with the optimal weather conditions during the 4th (special) edition of last week-end’s FLINN Cup.

📌 DUTCH
Michel Segers gaf afgelopen 21 augustus een uiteenzetting over de civiele rechtspleging na Corona.
Er werd tevens stilgestaan bij wijzigingen naar aanleiding van de laatste “Corona Pot Pourri wet” die eind juli werd gestemd in het Parlement.
Er ging ook aandacht naar enkele belangrijke punten na alle Potpourriwetten die het gerechtelijk recht hebben hervormd.

Michel Segers s’est exprimé lors d’un webinaire en date du 21 août dernier au sujet de la procédure civile après Corona (avenir de la procédure écrite et par vidéoconférence).
Les modifications opérées suite à la dernière loi dite « Corona Pot Pourri » votée au Parlement fin juillet ont également fait l’objet de discussions tout comme quelques-unes des modifications fondamentales du droit judiciaire apportées par l’ensemble des lois « Pot pourri ».

Happy to announce that the FLINN Cup catamaran competition can still take place this year !

It has been arranged for Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2020. Specific health protection measures will be respected.

The annual Inter law firm competition on racing yachts has been postponed to Saturday, 4th of September 2021. Please save the new date. Non binding pre-registration gives you priority under the “first come, first served” rule and will help us to reserve the right number of racing yachts. INFO : the annual FLINN CUP is organized by OSTEND SAILING VZW. It brings together colleagues and professional skippers from different backgrounds, with different experience, based on the common values shared by sailors all around the world. Of course the aim is also to have a good time during a sailing competition that is open to both amateurs and professionals, and to promote the Ostend Sailing Academy and its successful 3 day catamaran crash trainingcourse.

The Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA) fined Google Belgium six hundred thousand euros (€600,000) for failing to respect a citizen's right to have certain harmful information delisted. (The right is sometimes referred to as the ‘right to be forgotten’). This is the highest fine imposed by the APD/GBA to date.
