Strong teams are built both in and outside the office. ✨

As the 2025–2026 judicial year draws to a close, our Corporate, Public and Commercial teams took some well-deserved time to celebrate another year of collaboration and shared successes.

While our Corporate colleagues put their competitive spirit to the test on the karting track 🏎️, the Public team enjoyed a more creative challenge, learning the art of coffee making and perfecting their latte art skills ☕ Meanwhile, our Commercial colleagues embraced their artistic side during a painting workshop before exploring the city over a delightful apero tasting tour 🎨

Different activities, same result: an afternoon filled with laughter, great conversations and plenty of team spirit. Moments like these remind us that the strength of a firm lies not only in its expertise, but also in the people behind it and the genuine connections they build together.

The final round of our Internal Moot Court has taken place. 🏆

This year’s edition once again showed the talent, dedication and advocacy skills of our young lawyers.

After impressive final pleadings from Jade Claessens, Julie Briels, Jorgo Morelli and Alicia Van Vlaslaer, the jury selected Alicia as this year’s winner.

Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances.

A clear sign that the future of the legal profession is in good hands. 💪

With no fewer than 400 guests in attendance, we look back on a truly memorable evening in Hasselt. ✨

To celebrate the opening of our new office on the site, we welcomed clients, business partners and colleagues for an exclusive look behind the scenes of our new workspace.
Throughout the evening, guests had the opportunity to discover our new offices, reconnect with familiar faces and create new connections in a unique setting.
We were also honoured to welcome - ASF, who shared their inspiring story about access to justice and the promotion of the rule of law worldwide. Their contribution added an extra meaningful dimension to the event.

De eerste 100 dagen van een CEO zijn zelden een sprint, maar wel een cruciale oefening in luisteren, vertrouwen opbouwen en richting geven.

Tijdens de recente editie van Books & Boards in ons kantoor in Hasselt, georganiseerd samen met De Bestuurder en Uitgeverij Lannoo, gingen auteur Hans Smellinckx (100 Days to Make Your Mark as a CEO), Sabine Vanderveken (Lunch Garden), Jos Deslee (bestuurder en voorzitter van diverse ondernemingen) en onze CEO Leen Vandecruys in gesprek over wat een CEO-transitie doet slagen.

Uit het gesprek kwamen heel wat waardevolle inzichten en tips van zowel ervaren bestuurders als CEO’s naar voren: goede afspraken, een duidelijk mandaat en dialoog zijn essentieel.

Jeroen Raskin (bestuurder van Monard Law) lichtte toe dat governance meer is dan theoretische structuren. Het gaat over het vinden van de juiste evenwichten en werkbare afspraken maken, vertrouwen en de moed om tijdig met elkaar moeilijke gesprekken te voeren.

Het was bijzonder waardevol om hierover van gedachten te wisselen met bestuurders, ondernemers en leiders uit diverse bestuurscontexten.

Dank aan alle sprekers en deelnemers voor de openheid, inzichten en scherpe reflecties.

Een niet te onderschatten aandachtspunt bij de verkoop van aandelen zijn de interne meerwaarden.

Wanneer verkoper van aandelen controle heeft over de koper, rechtstreeks of via familieleden, kan de gerealiseerde meerwaarde belast worden aan 33%.

Sterke partnerships maken sterke ondernemers. 🤝

Daarom bundelden we dit jaar opnieuw de krachten met JCI in het kader van de JCI Award Vlaamse Jonge Ondernemer.

Een samenwerking die draait rond één duidelijke ambitie: ondernemers ondersteunen in hun groeitraject, met inzichten en een klankbord.

Samen met Paquay & Associates en Degroof Petercam organiseerden we een tweedaagse masterclass voor ambitieuze groeiondernemers uit heel Vlaanderen.

Vanuit onze expertise brachten we heldere juridische inzichten die meteen toepasbaar zijn in het ondernemerschap. Van contracting en conflictmanagement tot het maken van doordachte keuzes in complexe situaties, zonder overbodige juridische complexiteit.

Want groeien vraagt meer dan visie en drive. Het vraagt ook om sterke begeleiding en partners die mee vooruitdenken.
