𝐇𝐞𝐲, 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐛𝐢𝐳𝐚! 🏝️

Earlier this month, the Argo team headed to Ibiza for our annual team trip. On the agenda? Exploring both the island’s wild side and its historic heart - plus a quick hop to Formentera.

We kicked things off with an adventurous ride in Deux Chevaux, which turned out to be as unpredictable as the Ibiza weather earlier that week (think: stalling mid-roundabout or halfway up a steep hill). Add a tour of the old town, a rooftop dinner, cycling in Formentera and a night at Hï Ibiza (♪ it’s 9 PM on a Friday …).

But what really made it memorable? The people, the conversations, the laughter, the shared moments in between activities: that’s what makes Argo, Argo. Here’s to another trip to remember.

Last week, the Argo Scholarship took place at our Antwerp office. A group of highly motivated students gave it their all - analysing, negotiating and presenting under pressure.

Among them, 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐲𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐧 stood out. With her sharp legal analysis, clear communication and calm confidence during the case presentation, she impressed both the coaches and the jury.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐀𝐁𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 – Peeters, Hens and Vanelderen – who delivered a well-structured case, handled a surprise summons just before the deadline and presented with clarity and confidence.

👏 𝐀 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 to Latoya, to ABC Capital, and to all participants. Every single one of them showed focus, creativity and legal insight throughout the day - and made it a Scholarship edition to remember.

Alexander Canetta took a leap of faith by applying for the Argo Scholarship while on Erasmus in Paris - and it paid off! Winning the scholarship not only funded his LLM but also prepared him with essential skills like negotiating under pressure and thinking on his feet.

Now at Harvard Law School, he’s learning from top professors, engaging in high-level discussions and experiencing the global LLM community firsthand. His biggest tip? 💡 Start early, do your research, and don’t let the paperwork hold you back.
