Barrister Shawn S. Novel recently delivered the keynote speech at LexTalk: Evolving Dynamics of Corporate Law Practice in the Era of 4IR.

On 15 May 2024, the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Law and Moot Court Club, in collaboration with the Department of Law, BUP, hosted a public lecture titled “LexTalk: Evolving Dynamics of Corporate Law Practice in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.”

Our Head of the Firm, Shawn S. Novel, was recently invited as the keynote speaker at "LexTalk: Evolving Dynamics of Corporate Law Practice in the Era of 4IR" organized by the Department of Law, BUP, and BUP Law & Moot Court Club.

He delivered insightful perspectives on cross-border transactions, the changing dynamics of corporate law practice in the modern era, and the future landscape of Bangladesh's trade and economy, emphasizing Bangladesh's positioning on the global map.

In the previous year, SNA had the privilege of taking part in Bangladesh's first ever digital bank licensing process through advising a consortium of industry leaders and professionals. Amid the historic global economic crisis and changing landscape of businesses across the sectors, SNA dealt with intricate labor issues in the RMG and Textile industry through advising in facilitating a number of foreign investments and equity financing events and steering the merger and acquisition of a leading global pharmaceutical company in the form of international M&A.

Our legal services also shone in the energy sector, guiding a multinational power corporation in their global restructuring scheme in the form of spin-off, and in the insurance industry through advising a multinational insurance company.

SNA has also augmented its global presence by rendering its legal services beyond Bangladesh to foreign clients from different jurisdictions, advising on the laws of the USA, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
