According to the law in Bangladesh, cyber bullying is defined as the use of electronic communication to harass, threaten, or intimidate another person. This can include sending threatening messages, spreading rumors or false information, or posting embarrassing photos or videos online.
Under Bangladeshi law, cyber bullying is considered a criminal offense and can result in fines, imprisonment, or both. In addition, the Bangladesh Cyber Crime Tribunal has the authority to take action against those who engage in cyber bullying, including ordering the removal of offensive content and blocking access to websites or social media accounts.
Despite the legal protections in place, cyber bullying remains a major problem in Bangladesh, with many victims feeling powerless to stop the abuse. It is important for individuals, schools, and communities to work together to raise awareness about the issue and to provide support for those who have been affected by cyber bullying.
