One letter was enough to start a trademark fight.
A Turkish court cancelled the trademark “RIANNA” after finding it too similar to RIHANNA.
And there’s a lesson here for every business owner:
You don’t need to copy a brand name exactly to create a trademark problem.
A name that looks similar, sounds similar, or creates a similar commercial impression may still be challenged.
Now think about your own brand.
You’ve built the website.
Designed the logo.
Created the Instagram.
Paid for marketing.
But have you actually checked who else owns something similar to your name?
Because the expensive part isn’t always registering a trademark.
It can be discovering after you’ve built the brand that someone else got there first.
Would your brand name survive a trademark search today?
