We are delighted to share that Saima Karim Shanon, former President of the Jagannath University Moot Court Society (JnUMCS), has been appointed as the Assistant Human Rights Officer at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Bangladesh.

This remarkable achievement reflects her dedication, leadership, and commitment to the promotion and protection of human rights. It is truly a proud moment for the JnUMCS community and all those inspired by her journey.

A team from the Jagannath University Moot Court Society: Istiak Ahmed Efat, Md. Imran Hossain, Nash*ta Tasnim, Tonmoy Saha, Tolin, MD Yasir Abid participated in the 6th Jessup Workshop titled โ€œMAY IT PLEASE THE COURT: The Case Concerning the Craft of Jessup Advocacy.โ€

The workshop was organized by Jessup Bangladesh and ILSA ( International Law Student Association) in collaboration with Hearth Bangladesh, BRAC University School of Law, and DOJ-OPDAT (U.S. Department of Justice), and was held at BRAC University.

Special thanks to our Department of Law, Jagannath University volunteers: MD. Rakib Ul Islam and MD. Akibur Rahman Talukdar for their valuable support.

JnUMCS hosted an inspiring workshop: โ€œThe Art of Persuasion: Mastering Moot Court Advocacyโ€ as part of the 4th Intra-Department Moot Court Competition 2025.

Facilitated by Mr. Nuran Choudhury, National Coordinator, ILSA Bangladesh, participants gained expert insights on persuasive legal arguments, advocacy skills, and courtroom presentation techniques.
