We advocate and work with all stakeholders in this industry to create the right ecosystem; to grow this industry by 100,000+ middle-income sustainable jobs by 2025 As the central trade body for the BPO/ Outsourcing industry of Bangladesh, BACCO is working to contribute to the achievement of our Honorable Prime Minister, Sheik Hasina's vision of Digital Bangladesh 2025. e Year Plan (2016 - 2021), all our initiatives and activities are designed to promote the long term success for the industry. Appropriate Policy, Rules and Regulations are in place for both local and international businesses. Objective:

To ensure appropriate education and training are available to create the workforce to support the growth of the industry. The industry is enjoying over 40% year-on-year growth of its workforce and greater diversification of its work portfolio. In the next 5 years, we hope to unlock the industry with $1 billion in revenue generation. BACCO actively encourages its members to recruit women and physically disabled people. We encourage entrepreneurs and generally anyone who is interested in creating meaningful sustainable jobs for our youth to start them on their future career path. BACCO Participates in the Inauguration of National Cyber Security Platforms

The Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Cyber Incident Reporting System (CIRS) and the National ICT & Cyber Security Rating System (NRS) , organized by the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) under the Information and Communication Technology Division .

Representing BACCO at the event was Mr. Faisal Alim, Secretary-General, BACCO , alongside distinguished government officials and industry stakeholders. The ceremony was graced by Hon'ble Minister Mr. Faqir Mahbub Anam, MP, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, as the Chief Guest . Mr. Rehan Asif Asad , Hon'ble Adviser to the Hon'ble Prime Minister on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, attended as the Special Guest. Also present was Dr. Md. Taibur Rahman , Joint Secretary (ICT Promotion & Research Wing), Information and Communication Technology Division, along with senior officials from the government and the ICT industry.

The event marked the official launch of two significant national initiatives designed to strengthen Bangladesh's cyber resilience. The Cyber Incident Reporting System (CIRS) aims to streamline the reporting and management of cyber incidents, while the National ICT & Cyber Security Rating System (NRS) will help assess and enhance cybersecurity preparedness across organizations.

BACCO welcomes these timely initiatives and believes they will contribute to building a more secure, resilient, and globally competitive digital ecosystem. BACCO and Industry Experts Contribute Recommendations to the Draft of Bangladesh Freelancer (Registration and Management) Policy 2026

A consultative meeting on the Draft of Bangladesh Freelancer (Registration and Management) Policy 2026 was held between the Department of ICT (DoICT), the Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO), and leading industry experts to discuss policy measures aimed at creating a more organized, inclusive, and freelancer-friendly ecosystem in Bangladesh.

Representing industry experts were Ms. Emrazina Islam, Owner, Emrazina Technologies; Mr. Mustafa Jamal Yousuf, CEO, Viser X Limited; and Mr. Minhazul Asif, Founder, CodemanBD. From BACCO, present were Mr. Abdul Kader, Director, BACCO, Mr. Salim Sarker, Executive Coordinator, BACCO Secretariat, and Mr. Quazi Mehedi Hasan Ferdous, Executive, BACCO Secretariat. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Mohammad Saiful Hassan, Director General (Additional Duty), Department of ICT, along with senior officials from the Department of ICT.

The meeting focused on developing a progressive and freelancer-friendly Bangladesh Freelancer (Registration and Management) Policy 2026. BACCO, along with industry experts, proposed key recommendations including upskilling programs, state bank loan facilities, tax rebates, certification reimbursement, and a National Freelancer Award Program.

The discussion also emphasized enhanced benefits for Freelancer ID Card holders, special incentives for women freelancers, easier visa and trade license facilities, a dedicated support center, and greater policy recognition to strengthen Bangladesh's freelancing ecosystem and global competitiveness.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment from the government, BACCO, and industry stakeholders to develop a future-ready freelancing policy that empowers freelancers, strengthens the digital economy, and enhances Bangladesh's global competitiveness.

BACCO Receives Prestigious International AI Innovation & Leadership Consortium (IAIILC) Prestige Award 2026

The Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) has been honoured with the International AI Innovation & Leadership Consortium (IAIILC) Prestige Award 2026, recognizing the Association's outstanding contributions to leadership, innovation, governance, education, cybersecurity, sustainable development, economic advancement, and global cooperation.

The award ceremony was held on Saturday, 25 July 2026, at 10:00 AM in Padma Hall, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka.

The prestigious award was formally presented by Hon'ble Minister Mr. Zahir Uddin Swapon, MP, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in the presence of distinguished national and international guests. On behalf of BACCO, Mr. Faisal Alim, Secretary General, received the award.

According to the citation, the award recognizes BACCO's measurable contributions and structural excellence in promoting innovation, strengthening governance, advancing education and skills development, supporting cybersecurity initiatives, contributing to sustainable economic growth, and fostering international collaboration.
