A moment of immense pride for the Department of Law, State University of Bangladesh Moot Court Society (SUBMCS)

We are delighted to congratulate our talented Jessup Moot Court team for their remarkable performance in the 10th Bangladesh Qualifying Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2026. Competing against 49 teams from across the country, the team secured an impressive 14th position overall and achieved 11th position in the Memorial.

This outstanding achievement is a true reflection of the team’s relentless hard work, rigorous research, strong advocacy skills, and deep commitment to excellence in international law.

Participating in a competition as prestigious and demanding as the Jessup Moot is no small feat, and the team has represented SUBMCS with dignity, passion, and professionalism.
We sincerely appreciate the dedication of the mooters, researchers, and everyone involved in this journey. Your success has brought great honor to the university and has set an inspiring example for future mooters.

State University of Bangladesh Moot Court Society Successfully Participates in the Sixth Jessup Workshop 2025 - MAY IT PLEASE THE COURT (THE CASE CONCERNING THE CRAFT OF JESSUP ADVOCACY)

We are delighted to share that the State University of Bangladesh Moot Court Society (SUBMCS) actively participated in the two-day long 6th Jessup Workshop, held on 5–6 December 2025 at BRAC University.

SUBMCS was proudly represented by:

Exciting Announcement from SUBMCS!

We are proud to share that a team from SUBMCS will be participating in the prestigious 2nd BUP National Moot Court Competition 2025, which will center around complex and timely issues of International Law. This competition is a significant platform for young legal minds across the country to demonstrate their advocacy, research, and legal reasoning skills in a simulated courtroom environment.

Congratulations to Team SUBMCS!

We’re thrilled to announce that Abu Musa (42nd Batch), Shaon Reyan (47th Batch), and Alma Arija Bashar (46th Batch) have been selected to represent the State University of Bangladesh Moot Court Society (SUBMCS) in the 16th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition (National Rounds), organized by the ICRC in partnership with Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).

National Rounds Date: 29–30 August 2025
Only the Top 16 teams, selected based on memorial submissions, will qualify to participate in the national rounds, and SUBMCS is proudly among them!

Wishing our team the very best as they prepare to argue complex issues of International Humanitarian Law on a national platform.

WE MOURN
The State University of Bangladesh Moot Court Society (SUBMCS) is saddened by the tragic plane crash at Milestone College in Dhaka. Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families who have lost their loved ones, and we hold close in our hearts all those who are injured, wishing them strength and a swift recovery in this incredibly difficult time.
