From 11 June 2026, new rules apply to many higher-education student residence permits.

⚠️ Students at Bachelor's/Master's level with permits granted under the new rules are generally limited to 15 hours of work per week during semesters. During June, July and August, work is not subject to this 15-hour limit.

💰 The 2026 maintenance requirement is €950 per month for the student, with higher amounts applicable where accompanying family members are included.
