If you are invited for an interview, the committee already knows your academic background from your application. Now they want to understand how you think, communicate, discuss research, handle questions, and work with others.

If you present your previous research, be prepared to explain:

🔹 What problem did you address?
🔹 Why was it important?
🔹 What methods did you use?
🔹 What did you find?
🔹 What did you learn?
🔹 What could be done next?

If you don't know an answer, don't panic. Be honest and explain how you would approach the question.

And remember faculty fit. Don't simply say that a university is highly ranked. Explain why the professor's research and the program are relevant to your goals.

A strong PhD application should clearly answer:

- What have you done?
- What do you want to research?
- Why are you a good fit?

Your goal is not to appear perfect. Your goal is to present yourself as a serious, prepared, curious, and promising future researcher.

Good luck with your PhD applications! 🎓đŸ‡ē🇸
