With the new AML/CTF obligations taking effect in just a few days, preparing our team has been a key focus at this week's KGH Conveyancing meeting.
From 1 July 2026, all clients engaging us for a property transaction will be required to complete our Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process in accordance with Australia's new Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) laws.
While this means we'll be asking for some additional information and identification, these requirements are designed to protect both our clients and the integrity of Australia's property market.
Buying, selling or transferring property? Contact KGH Conveyancing today to find out how these new laws may affect your transaction. We're here to guide you through every step of the process.
