Attention home buyers. Did you know when making an offer you can include the amount of deposit you have? If you don't mention this to the agent when making an offer, when the contract is prepared, it will include a 10% cash deposit to be paid by the purchaser. This is usually payable once (a) your finance is approved or (b) if no finance, when the cooling off period has lapsed. There are other factors dependent on each situation of course.
