A new more severe strain of digital amnesia, is about to infect us and it is more infectious than co-vid - resulting in shortening memory, reduced concentration and declining analytical skills. Its like dementia but starting in your 20s ! The only antidote is to do something intellectual with the time AI and Google have saved you.

If you find that after less than a minute of mental effort your subconscious is nagging you to “just ask ChatGPT”, you may be letting go of your cognitive wheel and becoming a passenger to the “thoughts” of your LLM of choice.

This week I renewed my Queensland Law Society membership and my practising certificate for another year until 30 June 2027. I have decided this is the last time. That will make 51 years in the legal profession and 46 years admitted. Time to stop. The price of seniority is age !
