The building might be finished, but we’re not quite finished with Fit-Out Friday yet!

Now that we’ve celebrated many of the incredible trades who helped transform our new Better Lawyers Group office, we’re shifting the spotlight to some of the suppliers, makers and creatives whose pieces helped turn the finished building into our space.

Today we are shining a light on Taylor Rose Art 🖼️✨

We purchased three of Taylor’s beautiful abstract artworks for the office, each inspired by the colours, textures and landscapes of Australia.

We absolutely love the way these pieces bring colour and personality into the office while still complementing the overall design of the space. They’re the kind of pieces you notice differently every time you walk past them — and they’ve quickly become some of our favourite finishing touches.

There’s something pretty special about filling our walls with artwork created by an Australian artist and we’re so pleased to have three of Taylor’s pieces now calling the Better Lawyers Group office home.

🏢 WE HAVE OFFICALLY MOVED!🏢

After months of plans, dust, decisions, trades, deliveries, more decisions (and plenty of Fit-Out Friday posts along the way) we are officially in! 🎉

Welcome to the new Better Lawyers Group Office.

Our new home is the T & L Building, Level 1, 152 - 156 Margaret Street, Toowoomba.

And for our biggest Friday Fit-Out feature yet, it only seems right to shine the spotlight on the builder who helped bring the entire thing together - Steve Ryan Constructions.

Steve has been at the centre of this project, taking what started as plans, ideas and a very big vision for this building and turning it into the office you see today.

From listening to our crazy ideas to helping design and style the office (he is known for a good styling tip ), to the tiling, construction of joinery, finishes and all those little details that make the space what it is, Steve has played a huge part in bringing our new home to life.

We think the finished product speaks for itself. 🤩

We wanted to create something a little different from your typical law office. A space that feels professional without feeling corporate, has plenty of personality, works brilliantly for our team and is somewhere our clients actually enjoy visiting.

Now, after sharing little snippets of the transformation over the past few months, we can finally show you the whole thing!

🚶 Finding our entrance: Enter our office from the front on Margaret Street. You wont miss the new slick of paint and fresh street signage. Head on up the stairs to be greated by our team.

If you have an appointment with us, make your way to reception and our team will take it from there.

A massive thank you to Steve Ryan Constructions for helping us turn this building into something we are incredibly proud to call home and to every business we’ve featured throughout our Fit-Out Friday series. It took a lot of people to make this happen. But do not worry, Fit Out Fridays will continue as we move onto the great suppliers who have also provided us with some of the amazing products and features you see around our office!

🌟 Fit-Out Fridays - Edition 13 | Tomsy’s Welding & Fabrication🌟

Yes, we know it’s Wednesday. 😂

We got a little too excited about finally moving into the new office and completely forgot our post last week.

Did anyone notice? Did anyone miss us? Please say yes… 👀

Better late than never, this edition is all about Tomsy's Welding & Fabrication

Tomsy and the team were responsible for creating and installing the custom bannister for our staircase, adding another finishing touch that fits perfectly with the look and feel of the new office. With what could have been a purely functional part of the building, the team turned it into another feature that ties in beautifully with the overall look and feel of the space.

It’s one of those details that needed to be practical and safe, but we also wanted it to complement the overall design of the building – and the Tomsy’s team absolutely delivered. This team came in for installation on what was already a very busy day on site and nailed the installation perfectly!

A big thank you to Tomsy and the team for their craftsmanship and for helping us with a key part of the fit out.

And don’t worry… Fit-Out Fridays will return to its regularly scheduled Friday programming. Probably. 😂

🌟 Fit-Out Fridays – Edition 12 | Signs on Time 🌟

This week we’re giving a big shoutout to Andrew and the team at Signs On Time for helping put the finishing touches on the Better Lawyers Group Building!

When it came to our external signage, we wanted something that felt like it had always belonged on the building. Andrew and the team worked with us to create and install signage that complements the character and aesthetics of the building, while giving the Better Lawyers Group a polished presence in the Toowoomba CBD.

And their work isn’t finished yet!

Signs on Time will also be bringing our personality inside, completing the internal frosting and room signage throughout the office.

Thanks Andrew and the Signs on Time team and can’t wait to see the final details come to life as we get closer and closer to move-in day.

This morning, Adrianna attended Worrell's' breakfast seminar, presented by Adam Ward.

As Adam put it, "It wouldn't be a Worrells session without some stats." One that really stood out from the ATO was that 1,338,387 small businesses are currently carrying debt, averaging approximately $26,797 each, with PAYG withholding and GST making up the largest components of the debt book.

Beyond the numbers, the session reinforced some valuable reminders for business owners and directors:

✔️ Lodge PAYG, GST and Super obligations on time – even if your business can't pay immediately;
✔️ Director Penalty Notice (DPN) timeframes are unforgiving, making early action critical;
✔️ Resigning as a director doesn't erase responsibility for prior conduct; and
✔️ When it comes to restructures and insolvency, proper documentation, market value evidence and correctly registered security interests can make all the difference.

Thank you to Worrells and Adam for another insightful breakfast session. It's always valuable to stay informed on the legal and financial issues affecting Australian businesses, and to understand the proactive steps that can help protect both businesses and the people behind them.
