🌟 Fit-Out Fridays - Edition 1 | VHD Studio 🌟

The Better Lawyers Team is very excited to be on the move soon, as our beautiful new office space comes to life in the Toowoomba CBD.

To celebrate the wonderful trades and suppliers who we have had the pleasure of working with on this amazing project, we will be featuring some of them every Friday until we move in, in our 'Fit-Out Fridays' series! Sneak peeks may also occur...

To kick us off this week, we thank VHD Studio, who have been part of the project from the very beginning. Having worked with Peta on two previous office designs, Craig and the VHD Team helped take our initial ideas, concepts and vision for the new office and transform them into a building design unique to the Toowoomba office scene.

We are grateful for their creativity, guidance and support throughout the design process.

Thank you VHD for helping us bring the vision for our new Margaret Street office one step closer to reality.

Our team had a fantastic evening attending Business @ Dusk with the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce, hosted at Toowoomba Grammar School.

The evening began with a student-led tour by Darcy through some of the school’s impressive facilities in their new building followed by a presentation on their new TGX program they run at the school.

As you can see in the photos, the tour showcased a range of innovative learning spaces, including 3D printing equipment, machinery, workshop areas and digital design technology. It was great to see how students are gaining hands-on experience with tools and technology that reflect real-world industry environments.

Adrianna also had the chance to try out the VR headsets, giving us a fun glimpse into how immersive technology is being used in education.

A big thank you to Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and Toowoomba Grammar School for hosting such an engaging and insightful evening.

The Federal Government’s decision to pause parts of the Inland Rail project has left many landowners facing ongoing uncertainty, with properties acquired, plans disrupted and little clarity around what comes next.

This ABC Rural article highlights the real impact these delays and changing decisions are having on farming families and regional communities, particularly where land has already been resumed or negotiations have been underway for years.

Director, Peta Gray spoke with ABC Rural about the legal and practical challenges landholders are now dealing with, and the importance of fair process, transparency and accountability when major infrastructure projects change course.

For more than a decade, Australians in the path of the proposed Inland Rail corridor have wondered if the nation-building project will force them from their homes. Although the northern section has been scrapped, the legacy of its blueprints is still fuelling anxiety.
