If an employee makes an unfair dismissal application against your business as the employer, it is recommended you do not ignore it or any communications from the Fair Work Commission. To do so may result in legal proceedings running without your business having the opportunity to put its case and a finding made on the evidence presented to the Commission by the employee.
This happened recently in a matter before the Commission and an order was made to compensate the employee for approximately 12 weeks pay plus superannuation.
