Harris & Company can trace its origins to the establishment in 1939, by the late Mr John C Harris, of a legal practice in Sydney. In 1988 the firm's existing partners were joined by four new partners and the firm changed its name to Harris & Company. The firm has since its inception had a wide variety of clients and developed expertise in many areas of the law whilst maintaining a commercial and p
roperty emphasis. That expertise has in part been created by the firm's long tradition of retaining the best of its solicitors - three of our existing partners began their careers with the firm as employed solicitors - but also by attracting partners and solicitors who have broad experience and talents
