A change most students will never notice is quietly raising the bar on provider accountability.

From 1 October 2026, ASQA's new Data Provision Requirements Amendment brings in the VET Information Standard, replacing the old AVETMISS system with more frequent, technology-enabled reporting of training activity to NCVER. In short: RTOs get checked more often, and more closely.
