About Us
We are a busy family law practice with a strong pipeline of existing matters and an immediate need for an experienced lawyer to assist in progressing files and converting existing work into billable outcomes.
This is a practical, hands-on role for a lawyer who can work independently, hit the ground running and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.
The position is fully remote and initially offered as a 2–3 month contract, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
About the Role
You will be working primarily on existing family law matters, including:
Drafting affidavits, applications and court documents
Preparing consent orders and parenting plans
Reviewing disclosure and evidence
Drafting correspondence
Preparing briefs to counsel
Managing file progression and meeting deadlines
Assisting to reduce existing matter backlogs
The role is focused on fee-earning legal work. Administrative support is available, allowing you to concentrate on progressing matters efficiently.
About You
To be considered, you must:
Hold a current Australian practising certificate
Have a minimum of 3 years PAE in family law
Be capable of working independently from day one
Have strong drafting and file management skills
Be comfortable working remotely
Be commercially minded and focused on progressing matters efficiently
Be available to commence within the next few weeks
Highly Desirable
Experience in both parenting and property matters
Experience in Federal Circuit and Family Court proceedings
Ability to manage a moderate file load with minimal supervision
Remuneration
Competitive hourly contractor rate or salary package depending on experience and availability.

Important
This role will suit an experienced lawyer who is confident managing family law matters and producing quality work with limited supervision. It is not suitable for graduates, law students or lawyers without substantive family law experience.
