Last week at the SCA NSW Law Forum 2026, our Strata and Property Partner, Anna Hahm, delivered a highly insightful keynote address on “Key Strata Law Reforms: Understanding the Major Legislative Changes Affecting Strata Schemes.”

Presented at the Sydney Masonic Centre on 19 May, the session provided NSW strata managers with a clear and practical overview of the 2023–2026 reforms and what they mean in practice.

It was a valuable and timely discussion that highlighted the importance of staying informed as the industry continues to navigate an evolving legislative landscape.

A major shift in Queensland body corporate law has arrived. In Palmhurst [2026] QBCCMCmr 88, an adjudicator recognised that sustained antisocial behaviour within a community titles scheme can amount to public nuisance—empowering bodies corporate to act on behalf of multiple affected residents.

This decision expands the scope of section 167 of the BCCM Act and strengthens the ability of schemes to address widespread, harmful conduct. A significant development for community living and future dispute resolution.

Grace Lawyers was proud to attend the SCA NSW International Women’s Day Afternoon Tea 2026 at the beautiful Naala Badu building, Art Gallery of NSW. It was an inspiring afternoon celebrating the women who lead, influence and elevate the strata industry.

A special highlight was seeing our Strata & Property Partner, Anna Hahm, take the stage as a panellist. Her insights and thoughtful contributions added real depth to the conversation around inclusion, responsibility and belonging in our communities.

We were also deeply moved by keynote speaker Abang Anade Othow, whose powerful storytelling and her book Buckets of Hope offered a compelling reminder of resilience, hope and the strength women bring to every space they shape.

Thank you to SCA NSW for creating such a meaningful and uplifting event. We’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration.
